El grupo comenzó como cualquier otra banda de pueblo. Buscando oportunidades recorrieron desde presentaciones en fiestas hasta llegar a ser en 1965 "The Gooliwoogs" una agrupación que tenía, por exigencia de su manager, un estilo muy "Beatles" tanto en su música como en su indumentaria, usaban pelucas blancas y uniformes militares como Los Beatles, usaban tambien smoking y peinados idénticos. En 1968 bajo el lema "Hazlo u olvídalo" se decidieron a hacer lo que ellos sabían. Con la potencia en la voz y las letras de John Fogerty y la armoniosa rítmica de Tom Fogerty, Stu Cook y Doug Clifford, editaron los singles "Suzie Q partes 1 y 2" y "I put a Spell On You Walk on The Water" que rompieron con todos los esquemas de la época así como el álbum que los contenía, "Creedence Clearwater Revival" el cual abarcaba diversos estilos. Desde la psicodelia (Gloomy) hasta el crudo blues (Get Down Woman). En 1969 editan "Bayou Country" en el cual abunda un estilo que caracterizó a CCR: el "Swamp Rock" o "Rock de los Pantanos". Con temas como "Born on the Bayou" y "Keep on Chooglin'". Sin dejar de mencionar a unas de las mejores letras de canción de todos los tiempos: "Proud Mary". LP que se convertiría rápidamente en disco de Platino. Ya a estas alturas, "Creedence Clearwater Revival" había destronado a "The Beatles" y a "The Rolling Stones" de los primeros puestos de los Rankings. Ese mismo año editan "Green River y "Willy and the Poor Boys" que también se convierten en disco de platino. HISTORIA DE UN NOMBRE El nombre tan complejo de éste grupo no fué una tarea facil, en su primera etapa en el 65 se llamaron The Golligows. El nombre que poseía el grupo no era un apelatívo ciertamente brillante de modo que los descontentos miembros se dispusieron con todo fervor a buscar otro; para llegar al nombre definitivo tuvieron que suceder una serie de consecuencias. Lo primero que llegó fue Revival, por el simple hecho de qué, como llevaban bastante tiempo con esto de la música, hicieron un exámen de conciencia y tomaron una postura ecumenista, osease, revisión y vuelta a empezar sobre nuevos conceptos ideológicos y musicales. Lo segundo fué Creedence, que simplemente era el nombre de un amigo intimo de alguién del grupo y la verdad, no se sabe como, cierto día apareció en la cabecera del Grupo. El tercero, Clearwater, resulta ser el más curioso de todos puesto que llego a raiz de una propaganda televisiva de cerveza, en la cual para su fabricación, la elaboraban con "agua muy limpia", pués bien, de ahí viene Clear Water. No se sabe si el grupo adoptó esa palabra compuesta porque les hizo gracia ó como una venganza satírica contra la propaganda. Sus fans les conocen como C.C.R. o simplemente los Creedence. El DVD consta de un compilacion de imagenes de 1969 y 1970. La mayor parte en muy buena calidad aunque no perfecta. Casi la mitad esta dedicado al concierto en Albert Hall Real de Londres el 14 de abril de 1970 a los que se suman varios clips de programas de televisión de 1969 y secuencias del concierto de Woodstock. Visualmente no es un grupo que apasione, lo que compensan sobradamente con una música impecable, impresionante y apasionante ante una presentación estática.

KISS -Kissology vol. 1 Disco 1: Primera pieza de la revisión 1974-1977 en una serie de tres partes de la antología que incluye algunos de los momentos más espectaculares del "beso". This is simply terrific.Who said Depeche Mode were a band of the 80's. It took 1hr 45 minutes into the concert before the first track of the 80's was played. Come on people, what do you expect Mr Gahan to come out in those white jeans to sing people are people. Depeche Mode have grown up just like us fans who have followed them through their stupendous journey.I had the pleasure to witness this brilliant concert at three venues most notable the Gorge in George, Washington. Dave has never had this much energy and Martin came out of the shadows to deliver his most powerful performance yet.
